Unzipped – Collage Concept for The Magic Beans

What started as loose concept and a napkin sketch became something bigger. A surreal paper collage, built in creative conversation.

Before Unzipped was an album, it was an idea — a rough concept from The Magic Beans’ bandleader, passed along as a napkin sketch.

We took that initial vision and explored it through analog collage: handcut, rearranged, refined. The piece eventually became the visual core of their instrumental album Unzipped — and inspired the title itself.

This project lives at the intersection of concept art and collaboration — a moment where the visual helped shape the sonic.
